Keeping the Promise of Independence

As the Founder & President of Remain At Home Senior Care, I’m really excited to announce that our doors will officially open for business in just a few short weeks. I can say with great pride that all members of the “RAH” Team have tirelessly poured our hearts and minds into developing a home-care agency that we believe will provide the very best medical and non-medical attention to local seniors in the place they affectionately call home.

Remain At Home Senior Care is a home-grown company in the truest sense  – we were founded and will operate here in Athens, GA. We are not a franchise and have made a pledge that we will never compromise our integrity or pour care; after all, we live here, too.

It comes as no surprise to those of us that live here to learn that Forbes Magazine voted Athens, Georgia, one of the “Top 25 Cities to Retire in America”. Our city boasts a vibrant and walkable downtown, an affordable cost of living and no shortage of things to do both within the community and through the University of Georgia.

But we also know that balancing an active and independent lifestyle with the harsh realities of health issues can be a road-block to achieving the best quality of life. RAH’s primary goal is to help seniors maintain that independence and, better still, actively help our clients achieve their life goals, all while “aging-in-place” in the safety and comfort of their homes.

Local physicians are excited about this unique opportunity to help keep their patients at home, and to give family members, many who don’t live locally, the peace of mind that their loved ones are getting the care they need. Everyone is excited about the fact that all of RAH’s caregivers are licensed professionals.

I will be penning a weekly article about important, timely and dare I say, fun topics that are affecting seniors from local, national, and global perspectives.
