The DIAB or Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Interim Advisory Board will be hosting a Town Hall meeting June 20th in Portsmouth, Ohio. The group of volunteers is not formally associated with any federal agency or program. However, the DIAB serves as a watchdog group, overseeing the administration of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program.
The town hall meetings are primarily for information gathering purposes. The DIAB is looking for, “claimants who have filed non-radiation cancer claims under Part E or Part B lung disease claims…” of EEOICPA. These volunteers are attempting to gather as much information as possible to properly assess issues surrounding the compensation program.
DIAB is looking specifically for the following documents:
- Final Decisions
- Statements of Accepted Facts
- DEEOIC doctor reports
- DEEOIC industrial hygienist reports
- DEEOIC toxicologist reports
